Windows' still relevant and I hate it

My partner still prefers Windows, due to familiarity.
I'm confident she can use Linux or macOS if the environment is front of her, to be use.
2026 is supposedly the year of Linux.
But I have a feeling it's more like 'the year of hating Microsoft' as a whole, and that's including Windows on desktops.

We have people going back to Windows 10 with ESU - mainly gamers who are playing these anti-cheat games - these people can't bear Windows 11 or any new or modern Microsoft products, but they can't switch over to Linux or macOS because these games just can't run on those platform.

It's just how Microsoft got them, isn't it?

Heck, I'm working for a company that partners up with Microsoft and we promote these new Microsoft solutions. Big businesses can't run away from Microsoft products, and it's not like they really have a choice. AWS? Oracle? GCP? all those are just cloud platform which are meant to run at the backend. When it comes to end-devices & experience, they just can't run away from Microsoft & Windows in particular.
Sure you'd have big companies running macOS here and there, but it's always a group of people within that company that uses it - and the rest? Windows effing 11, the worst Windows version there is. What's even worse, let's see...

Oh! I'm taking my Azure exams near the end of next month.
WTF right? all these talk about Microsoft and yet I'm taking Microsoft's Azure exams?
I'm part of their pond too, I'm also a sucker, whether I like it or not.
Truth is they gave me some100%-cost-covered exams that cost hundreds, and the opportunity to be 'certified', whatever that means. It's free stuff. That's how they got me.
I still have the 25 free M365 E5 licenses - most of it are being used though, I gave it out to friends & family. So yes I'm also a puppet and they're playing the strings - when I'm at work. Which is why I keep saying that I personally just cannot mix hobby/interest with work. I might be good at work but it doesn't mean that work deserves my full attention, even when I'm at work.

Anyway, anyone can conclude that It's just a lost cause.
But the fight doesn't end.
It can never end.
